My Approach

Doing therapy is deep and powerful work, and my intention is to create a space to facilitate true, meaningful and lasting transformation by bringing together brain science, art, clinical knowledge and lived human experience into the therapeutic space.

With me, therapy is a partnership and you’re not alone on your journey of healing, growth and change. I am right there along with you doing my part to heal, grow and live life fully present. I became a therapist because of my own path of healing.

Working With Me

I love when the process of therapy is rich, meaningful and engaging and I know how hard it can be to get started with such a big investment in yourself. That’s why I invite you to meet with me for a full 30 minutes, free of charge, so you can get to know me a bit and have your questions answered.

I bring my expertise to the table through therapy modalities such as Internal Family Systems/ “Parts- Work”, Expressive Art, Somatic Experiencing/Polyvagal Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and more. .

What Can Change Mean For You?

Together, we will build a vision of what transformation could look like for you and what steps you and I will both take to support you on that path; we often begin by building connection and trust with your body and emotions; learning how to navigate emotions with respect and acceptance; building connection with what safety feels like in your body, and connect to your core values. We will also explore and process important past experiences and make peace with parts of yourself you may have distanced from.

  • “Parts of me Journal” to explore the many parts of you like your defense responses, the younger versions of you, the anxious and care-taking parts of you and more. Learn about their roles and impact on your daily life and how to make peace with them

  • Personalized nervous system map, education and experiential activities/exercises around calming the nervous system

  • Custom and personalized “core beliefs tree” visual expressive exercise (uncover the underlying beliefs and thoughts behind the behaviors you’d like to change)

  • Music and movement based exercises to increase emotional awareness, expression and regulation

  • Visual art based exercises to increase awareness, expression and regulation of thoughts and feelings

  • Custom Cognitive restructuring process chart and facilitation (break down the limiting beliefs and stories that hold you back from reaching your goals and build new beliefs that are in alignment with your values and goals)

  • Systematic exposure activities/Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP); facilitation and processing (rewire the “alarm” system in the brain that triggers anxiety or OCD symptoms)

  • Custom/interactive digital life narrative and facilitation (tell your story in a safe, supportive, and structured process using symbolism and imagery.)

  • Personalized goal progress monitor (define what progress would look like for you and see your progress increase on the chart over time)

  • Personalized Behavior modification/behavior activation chart and plan (pin-point the habits and actions you want to change and identify strategies and actions that will make success more likely)

  • Diagnostic and evaluation, scoring and interpretation of assessment results
